Yesterday’s game was DH’s last shot for the WFT, I believe. It was bad...& much of it seemed to be on him.  

Perhaps my glasses were/are too colored by scarlet and gray, but I truly believed (believe?) Dwayne has the talent to be a starting QB in the NFL. 

The physical tools are there.  We know he’s still maturing and not making the best decision since being in the league. 

The biggest issue to me is that for him, he’s lost his confidence and doesn’t trust himself or what he’s seeing on the field. I blame the coaching staff from last year and this year in how they’ve managed him.  Everyone is different and it seems like DH needs a coach like Day to believe in him and set him up for success in what he does well, so his confidence grows and he starts accomplishing even more. 

Alas, the NFL is a win now league and DH didn’t do himself any favors the way he handled himself his rookie year, end even some this year. 

A fresh start as a backup behind an aging vet with a coach who believes in him could see a turnaround.  We are seeing it some from Trubisky and Darnold and even a Mike Glennon. 

Disappointed but still pulling for him. If he  continues on the path of humble growth and grinds and develops that leadership, I believe he will make it in the league eventually.
