This saga is finally coming to an end. After Dubois’ lackluster performance on Thursday, the Blue Jackets sent Dubois and a 2022 3rd rounder to Winnipeg for Patrick Laine and Jack Roslovic.
Roslovic is a native of Columbus, and was in a contract dispute with the Jets, so its natural he comes to Columbus. He just signed a 2 year deal with the Jackets.
Laine is sniper through and through, and should help the Jackets enormously on the Power Play. Laine was selected 2nd in the 2016 draft, and Dubois was selected 3rd. Laine is an RFA after this year, so hopefully the Jackets lock him up. Some suggest Laine may not work out with Torts, so hopefully that isn’t the case.
Laine is hurt right now, plus he’ll have to quarantine coming from Canada. Roslovic was already working out in Columbus.
Lets put this all behind us and win some games!
