Three years ago the city of Upper Arlington made the decision to pay homage to one of its favorite sons. In August 2016, Parkway Park was renamed “Jack Nicklaus Park” at a special ceremony. This came on the heels of the 2016 U.S. Senior Open golf championship which was held at the city's Scioto Country Club.
Since that time, a group of residents, family members, and friends have been working to plan a privately-funded tribute at the park. These efforts have now paid off and a celebration is slated for this Thursday, May 30.
