This Week in Twitter is our weekly look at some of the week's best and most entertaining tweets from current and former Ohio State players and other Ohio State accounts.

Even with summer on the brink and fall sports still many months away, the excitement never stops for Ohio State athletics. Neither do the accolades.

Last Sunday, the Buckeye Men's and Women's Track & Field teams each concluded the Big Ten Championships with their own spectacular performances. Anavia Battle and Yanique Dayle helped lead Ohio State's women to the 2021 Conference Title, while three members of the men's team helped rally the Buckeyes from near the end of the leaderboard to finish in a respectable sixth place.

Congrats are also in order to Sam Hackenbracht and Mariah Rodriguez of the Ohio State Softball team. Both players made All-Midwest Region second team just a day after each also received All-Big Ten honors.

And the good times continue for the women in Ohio State athletics, as the Rowing Team will head to Florida to compete alongside 21 other teams for the NCAA Championship. With seven titles and 18 top-10 finishes on their resume, things could get interesting down in Sarasota:

Last but certainly not least, we would be remiss if we did not congratulate freshman defender Sydney Jones for receiving a call up to the Under-20 United States Women's National Team earlier today.

In football team news, it was a proud week for the Buckeyes as the team reported strong academic numbers to continue their recent trend of classroom success. Ryan Day congratulated the team for achieving an average GPA of 3.05, which was the fourth straight semester the team has hit such a mark.

Day also gave a great talk on Ohio State's Mental Health Monday earlier this week about the importance of perspective. He specifically talked about how he and his staff try to keep players focused on where they are and what's currently in front of them, but also the importance of having people around to help offer guidance and serve as an outlet.

One more cool bit of academic Buckeye football news, Taron Vincent will be the Ohio State football team's representative at the NCAA Career in Sports Forum along with a few members of the lacrosse and softball teams.

Clearly, Ohio State's athletes value being successful away from the field as well. That's why it is no surprise seeing chief executive officers stop by practice to give life lessons and nuggets of knowledge on success after sports.

In a juicier on-field development, the Jaxon Smith-Njigba hype is reaching critical levels—and he himself is starting to notice. Poised for a big role in the offense as only a sophomore, JSN believes he's up to the task and appreciates the votes of confidence.

Did you hear the NBA Playoffs started this week? You may have heard about that buzzer-beater LeBron James had in the Play-In Game, but perhaps the most interesting storyline for Ohio State fans is that Utah Jazz point guard Mike Conley Jr. will be facing off with his former team of over a decade.

To the NFL, the Buckeye rookies had plenty of news to share this week. Tommy Togiai made waves when he officially inked his Cleveland Browns rookie contract in a Dragon Ball Super t-shirt. The power level scouters say Togiai can bench press over 9000 lbs.

Not to be outdone, Luke Farrell also put pen to paper for the Jacksonville Jaguars this week. It will be fun to see Farrell blocking for Carlos Hyde in an Urban Meyer offense next season.

Meanwhile, Trey Sermon appears poised for a great role in San Francisco operating within one of the most efficient rushing offenses in the NFL. Hitting the practice field this week, Sermon has the look of a great addition to what fantasy football managers already know is an extremely crowded 49ers backfield.

As for Shaun Wade... um, what? Feeding Gen-Z athletes pictures of '90s culture icons has become layup content for professional teams, but this is definitely one of the more alarming videos you will see of its type. Not only does Wade not recognize any members of Destiny's Child, he flat out states that the leader of the trio, "ain't Beyoncé."

The Internet War between the Beyhive and Ohio State football fans would be quite a spectacle. Here is hoping it never happens.

Finally, we conclude This Week in Twitter with a bit of fun the Men's Basketball Account had at the expense of Fox College Hoops. The lesson here is do not ask obvious questions on Twitter, unless you enjoy setting yourself up for obvious opportunities to get dunked on.
