This Week in Twitter is our weekly look at some of the week's best and most entertaining tweets from current and former Ohio State players and other Ohio State accounts.

As the Ohio State Football season opener looms less than two weeks away, there has been a festival of activity around the team's practices and personnel. Players continue to develop and round into form, with no shortage of memorable moments on the way to the first game on September 2nd.

The team's official photo day was actually last month, but Dawand Jones decided to put on an encore last Sunday. Have you ever seen a photo where Orlando Pace is the smallest person in the picture?

Once practice got underway on Monday, the highly anticipated debut of Quinn Ewers finally arrived. The top-rated quarterback in the class of 2021 wasted no time getting right to work on having his black stripe removed.

Monday's practice also featured a mic'd up session from Javontae Jean-Baptiste. The redshirt junior defensive end had about as much fun in the rain as a player can have at a college football practice—even if he did technically get the snot knocked out of him.

JJB must not have appreciated Zach Harrison's on-camera call out regarding his runny nose, because Harrison the next day accused JJB of eating his red velvet cake. JJB acknowledged the transgression, but alluded it had more to do with Harrison not sharing the delicious chili that Zach's father makes.

Chemistry-crippling events such as these may shatter a lesser football team, but at Ohio State, these quarrels only strengthen the bonds of Buckeye brotherhood.

But just how deep does the love run in the Ohio State football program? Well, did you know that Ryan Day met his wife when he was just six years old playing little league baseball?

With a man like that at the helm, it's not hard to see why so many consider the culture in Columbus to be a football family.

Speaking of family, there were a handful of Buckeyes that had surreal experiences in the footsteps of their parents at the Pro Football Hall of Fame this week. Among them was Paris Johnson, finding himself in a similar position to the one his father did almost precisely two decades ago.

While in Canton, Marvin Harrison Jr. and Jalen Pace got the chance to take pictures alongside the busts of their Hall of Fame dads.

As practice continued this week, several newcomers to the program made considerable progress on their Buckeye football journeys. Donovan Jackson, Jordan Hancock, and Jantzen Dunn all had their black stripes removed this week in the latest series of freshmen to earn a scarlet streak on their helmets.

Former NFL Buckeyes also had a couple of key moments this week. Roy Hall Jr. returned to campus on Monday to speak with parents and loved ones of current Ohio State players at Family Day.

Additionally, Ryan Shazier announced he will be publishing the story of how he has worked to overcome paralysis in a new book to be titled Walking Miracle.

Elsewhere in Ohio State's athletic program, family man and head basketball coach Chris Holtmann made sure to offer best wishes to all the children across Columbus preparing to return to school in August. He has great taste in Crew fashion, too.

Women's Soccer also kicked off their season against BYU in Utah on Thursday night.

And former Ohio State Women's Volleyball Head Coach Jim Stone received distinction this week as the newest member of the American Volleyball Coaches Association's Hall of Fame.

We will conclude This Week in Twitter with three important shout-outs. First, best wishes to Roen McCullough—the former Ohio State long snapper that made a difficult decision to medically retire from football this week.

Second, our hearts go out to new Ohio State Football team captain Teradja Mitchell after he relayed his older brother passed away under tragic and unnecessary circumstances this week.

Finally, after three years on the Buckeye beat, Eleven Warriors wishes Colin Hass-Hill a genuine and heartfelt farewell as he prepares for a new endeavor on the West Coast.

Thank you Colin!
