Ohio State will be without sophomore Micah Potter for tonight's game against Michigan and possibly longer as the team's sports information director, Dan Wallenberg, announced Monday afternoon that Potter is out indefinitely with an ankle injury.
Ohio State sophomore Micah Potter of @OhioStateHoops is not available for the home game vs. Michigan Monday and will remain out indefinitely while rehabbing a left ankle sprain, head coach Chris Holtmann announced today.

Potter's injury occurred in the second half of an 80-55 win over Northeastern on Nov. 19. The Mentor, Ohio native sat out losses to Gonzaga and Clemson while playing sparingly in wins against Stanford and Wisconsin. He also played just four minutes in a loss to Butler.
Head coach Chris Holtmann mentioned shutting Potter down on Sunday when speaking with the media, but had not committed to the idea at the time.
"We desperately want him back in the lineup, and we need him. He was playing very well before he got hurt," Holtmann said. "With ankles, it may be the right thing to just let it heal and limit anything he does until he can be completely confident in its strength."
Holtmann added Sunday that he does not foresee Potter's injury to be of the season-ending variety. Potter is averaging 5.3 points and 3.1 rebounds per game this season and scored a career-high 17 points in the last game before his injury against Texas Southern on Nov. 16.
