Former Ohio State and current Memphis Grizzlies guard Mike Conley will miss the remainder of the NBA season due to a bone protrusion in his left heel.
Grizzlies GM Chris Wallace announces in email moments ago to MVP season-ticket holders that Mike Conley will require season-ending surgery "to smooth a small bone protrusion" in his left heel. Conley is expected to make a full recovery ahead of training camp.

Conley played in just 12 games this year, in his age-30 season. He averaged 17.1 points and 4.2 assists, as the Grizzlies have struggled to a 17-31 record.
Conley, of course, was part of the 2006-07 Ohio State team that reached the finals of the NCAA Tournament.
