The Big Ten Tournament is set.
After defeating Wisconsin by five on Sunday afternoon, Big Ten champion Michigan State earned the No. 1 overall seed and will take on the winner of the No. 8 Maryland vs. No. 9 seed Wisconsin matchup, which is set to tip off at noon on Thursday.
The Spartans’ matchup against either the Terps or the Badgers will kick off the quarterfinals on Friday at noon.
Ohio State finished with the No. 2 seed and will play the winner of the No. 7 Penn State vs. No. 10 Northwestern matchup, which is set to be played at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, with the Buckeyes’ quarterfinal game being played at the same time on Friday.
After dropping three of its last six games, Purdue checks in as the No. 3 seed and will play the final quarterfinal game on Friday, following Ohio State’s matchup. Following a blowout win over Penn State on Sunday, Nebraska earned the No. 4 seed and final double-bye in the tournament.
The Big Ten Tournament will open action on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. on BTN, with the No. 12 vs. No. 13 seed matchup, which pits Iowa against Illinois, with the winner advancing to take on No. 5 seed Michigan. The Wolverines finished the regular season with a 13-5 conference record, which was identical to Nebraska’s; however, Michigan dropped its lone matchup to the Cornhuskers this season, dropping them to the Thursday slate of games.
The second game of the first round on Wednesday will feature No. 11 Minnesota vs. No. 14 Rutgers following the conclusion of the opening game on BTN. The winner will play No. 6 seed Indiana in the final game of Thursday’s slate.
