Just one day after declaring himself eligible for the 2018 NBA Draft, Keita Bates-Diop was named to yet another All-America team.
The Normal, Ill. native was named a second-team All-American by the Associated Press on Tuesday, after leading Ohio State to a 25-9 overall record in 2017-18. Bates-Diop averaged 19.8 points and 8.7 rebounds during his final season in Columbus, including four straight 20-point games to end his collegiate career.
With the honor from the Associated Press, Bates-Diop became a consensus second-team All-American for the 2017-18 season.
Keita Bates-Diop of @OhioStateHoops is the 20th individual to earn First/Second Team Consensus All-America Honors as a Buckeye. He earned Ohio State's 27th overall Consensus AA honor in program history. Six former Buckeyes are multi-year winners, including Jerry Lucas, 3 times.

Bates-Diop collected a pair of 30-point performances during his 2017-18 season, and was named Ohio State's first Big Ten Player of the Year since Evan Turner in 2010.
He is expected to be a late first-round draft pick by many projections in the 2018 draft, which would make him the first Buckeye to be drafted since D'Angelo Russell was selected No. 2 overall in the 2015 draft by the Los Angeles Lakers.
