Holtmann said Young fell during the team’s loss to Maryland on Friday and “exacerbated the injury.”

The Buckeyes already entered the season lacking depth down low after Micah Potter announced his decision to transfer just before the start of the season. Young had been a key player off the bench, allowing Ohio State to substitute for Kaleb Wesson.
In Young's absence, Holtmann said Jaedon LeDee, Musa Jallow and Justin Ahrens must step up.
