The bracket is set for the ninth annual Emerald Coast Classic in Niceville, Florida.
After Ohio State hosts Western Michigan in an on-campus first-round matchup as a prelude to the event on Nov. 19, the Buckeyes will take on Alabama at Raider Arena on the campus of Northwest Florida State College at 7 p.m. on Nov. 24.
Oregon will face Santa Clara in the other semifinal following the OSU-Alabama matchup on Nov. 24 with a championship contest and a third-place game to follow on Nov. 25. Other teams participating in games at the event include Mercer, Tennessee State and Southeastern Louisiana.
Ohio State hasn't played Alabama since the 2002-03 season, when the Buckeyes lost to the fourth-ranked Crimson Tide by four points in a matchup on Nov. 29. Ohio State is 3-3 against Alabama in the six games between the two programs dating back to the 1969-70 season.
Alabama finished No. 1 in the final AP poll this past season, going 31-6 overall and entering the NCAA Tournament as a No. 1 seed after winning both the SEC regular season and conference tournament championships. The Crimson Tide made it to the Sweet 16 before being upset by eventual national runner-up San Diego State.
