Before descending upon Columbus, the members of Select '17 have one final shot at glory under the Friday night lights.
FOUR-PEAT
Shaun Wade's comments about Ohio State following Trinity Christian's 24-13 win over Chaminade-Madonna in the Florida Class 3A state championship game got all the headlines on Saturday afternoon.
But his controversial second quarter interception was the turning point the Conquerors' bid for a fourth-consecutive state championship.
With the Trinity Christian leading by only 4, Wade made a diving interception near the sideline. It appeared Wade never had control of the ball as he fell to the turf, but the call was not overturned and the Conquerors went up 21-10 just three plays later.

Trinity Christian overcame three turnovers, a botched fake field goal and 139 yards in penalties to become the fifth school in Florida to win four-straight state tiles.
BITTERSWEET
Ohio State wide receiver commit Trevon Grimes may have missed the last nine games of the season with a torn ACL, but that certainly didn't make St. Thomas Aquinas' 45-6 win over Plant in Friday night's Florida Class 7A state championship game any less sweet.
Congrats to them Raiders ... #3pt

The Raiders weren't challenged much in winning their third-consecutive state championship and 10th title in program history, rushing out to a 31-6 halftime over the Panthers. Florida quarterback commit Jake Allen threw five touchdowns in only three quarters before officials started the running clock.
Aquinas becomes just the second program in Florida to hit double digits in football titles, and trails only Jacksonville Bolles with 11.

SO CLOSE
Kennedale, Texas, was its own worst enemy in Friday night's 21-13 loss to Abilene Wylie in the Texas 4A Division I state semifinal.
The Wildcats — led by Ohio State linebacker commit Baron Browning — held the Bulldogs to 165 yards of total offense, but turned the ball over four times, came up short on two fake punt attempts and botched the snap on another.
Kennedale led 13-7 late in the first half, but momentum shifted when the Wildcats attempted a fake punt from their own 28-yard line. Wylie went ahead for good with a touchdown just three plays later.
The Wildcats have 22 playoff appearances in the last 30 years, but had never advanced to the state semifinals prior to this season.
Man it hurts like hell.... to go out this way but we made history making it this far wouldn't want to play with anybody else love this team
