The Hurry Up is your nightly dose of updates from the Ohio State football recruiting trail, keeping tabs on the latest from commits and targets from around the country.
No. 6 Tight End Includes Ohio State
Lukas Ungar, the No. 7 recruit in the state of New Jersey, included Ohio State in his top-five list on Friday night, he announced via Twitter. Other schools on the list were Clemson, Georgia, Penn State and Stanford, where Ungar is projected to go via 247Sports' crystal ball.
Of the teams on that list, Ungar has already visited Stanford and Penn State. He's also made visits to Michigan and Wisconsin. Ohio State offensive coordinator and tight ends coach Kevin Wilson has been making moves on the recruiting trail, though, after offering a top 2021 tight end in Cane Berrong last week, and has clearly developed a relationship with Ungar enough to jump above Michigan and Wisconsin for the top-five list.

The tight end won't be making many visits until after May. He's finishing up his basketball season soon and then picks up with lacrosse in March, which makes it tough for him to get on the road for visits.
If what Wilson said is true and Ohio State wants to use its tight ends in the passing attack more often, Ungar's 6-foot-4, 225-pound frame with room to grow could be quite an asset for the Buckeyes, or for any program he chooses.
Top Florida Prospect Plans to Officially Visit Ohio State
Five-star Florida running back Demarkcus Bowman, the No. 5 running back in the nation for the Class of 2020, told Eleven Warriors, while he hasn't finalized a schedule for his official visits yet, Ohio State will "for sure" be an official visit he makes.
This news is crucial for the Buckeyes because, after the decommitment of four-star Arizona running back Darvon Hubbard, Ohio State needs to pick up a couple more prospects at the position for the Class of 2020. While there is mutual interest with five-star Arizona running back Bijan Robinson, a second running back will be just as significant.
Bowman has offers from Clemson, Florida, Georgia, Alabama and others, and many believe he is leaning toward Florida, as that is where he has taken the most visits.
Catching Up with Donovan Edwards
With the Ohio State running back room getting thin and a dire need for some commitments in the 2020 class, it's hard to believe that will change much for the 2021 class too. Michigan running back prospect Donovan Edwards will be one of the running back targets for the Buckeyes in that 2021 class.
Edwards said he has been to Ohio State more than four times already, his last one being at the end of January.
“It went good. Actually, it went great," Edwards said. "I sat down with Coach (Tony) Alford and Coach (Ryan) Day.”
The West Bloomfield High School sophomore has been recruited by Ohio State since the end of his freshman year and has talked to Day, Alford and former coach Taver Johnson. He's also received offers form 14 other schools, including Michigan, where he's visited "around four times" and has a good relationship with Jay and Jim Harbaugh.
Edwards said he isn't leaning in any direction, but he said his talks with Day and Alford have been "positive" and that he plans on visiting again in the spring. He also hopes to commit to a school sometime around June 2020, before his senior season.
Edwards became the full-time starter at West Bloomfield as a sophomore and has been a significant contributor since he entered high school. One of the aspects of a program Edwards is most interested in is early playing time.
“I want to go somewhere where I can play my freshman year or my sophomore year. One of the two," Edwards said. "I don’t want to come out and play just as a junior or a senior."
Berrong Works Out in Academy
Cane Berrong, who will be a top 2021 tight end prospect out of Georgia, just received an offer from Ohio State this week, and this weekend, he worked out at Terrence Edwards' tight end/wide receivers academy.
Edwards was a receiver at Georgia and spent a decade in the NFL. Berrong, a 6-foot-4, 220-pound tight end, can be seen here working with Edwards and his staff.

Ohio State Targets Making Visits
As was discussed in Friday's Hurry Up, four-star Arizona safety, and teammate of Bijan Robinson, Lathan Ransom made his way to Columbus on Sunday. He visited Notre Dame on Friday and traveled toward Ohio State for a Sunday visit.

Four-star Cincinnati defensive end Darrion Henry made a visit to Kentucky this weekend. He is all but committed to Ohio State at this point, though.

Five-star California running back Kendall Milton made a visit to Texas this weekend. The No. 2 running back in the class has offers from Alabama, USC, LSU, Florida State, Oklahoma, Texas, Oregon and Ohio State, and if there is a frontrunner, it appears to be USC.

Three-star Michigan wide receiver Maliq Carr made his way to South Bend, Indiana, to visit Notre Dame this weekend. Carr is the No. 75 wideout in the 2020 class, and while Ohio State is near the top of his interest list, it appears the Buckeyes might need to look elsewhere with many five- and four-star receivers interested in playing in Columbus after graduation next year.
