A top-110 prospect in the 2025 class has set a spring visit to Ohio State.

After taking two spring visits to Columbus last year, four-star Maryland defensive tackle Trenton Wilson plans to make his return to OSU on March 30. The 6-foot-3, 270-pound prospect also has set visits to Oklahoma, Penn State and Texas A&M this spring.

OSU offered Wilson last March, a gesture that meant a lot to the standout defensive lineman.

“I was really excited, they have an amazing history,” Wilson told Eleven Warriors after picking up the OSU offer. “Coach Larry Johnson is arguably the best defensive line coach in college football. Playing for him would be a rare opportunity. Ohio State is high on my list.”

Wilson is likely eyeing a summer commitment, so making a strong impression on Wilson on his visit will be crucial in the Buckeyes’ efforts to add him to their 2025 class. Big Ten rival Penn State has been a big factor in Wilson’s recruitment and could be the biggest competition for OSU.

Micah DeBose will take official visit to Ohio State

One of Ohio State’s top offensive tackle targets in 2025 has confirmed he’ll take an official visit to Columbus. Per 247Sports, five-star offensive tackle Micah DeBose will take officials to Ohio State, LSU, Auburn, Alabama and FSU.

DeBose will also take a spring visit to LSU as the Tigers have been gaining a lot of momentum in his recruitment over the past few weeks. OSU still has at least a puncher’s chance to land DeBose, though.

The top-30 prospect has visited Columbus several times, most recently for the Buckeyes’ game against Michigan State in November. While DeBose resides in Alabama, he spent the first eight years of his life in Ohio.

“I think the visit went well,” DeBose told Eleven Warriors last November after attending Ohio State’s 38-3 win over the Spartans. “The fans and coaches are so different, and I love that. Just the culture and the O-H-I-O (chants) were really fun to me. Talking to the coaches, I talked to coach (Justin) Frye, coach (Ryan) Day and coach Mike (Sollenne), they’re all great people. I’ve talked with them about football a lot, but my visit wasn’t just all about football. It was about how my daily life is going and getting to know me more on a personal level. Overall, my visit to Ohio State was great and I will be back sooner than later.”

Matty Augustine commits to Notre Dame

A three-star offensive lineman with an Ohio State offer is off the board.

New Jersey prospect Matty Augustine committed to Notre Dame on Tuesday, choosing the Fighting Irish over OSU, Michigan, Penn State and Wisconsin.

Augustine will team up with his high school teammate and four-star safety Ethan Long, who also had an OSU offer.

Will Griffin hoping to visit OSU this spring

A top Ohio State quarterback target in the 2026 class is eyeing a visit to OSU once spring practices start. Four-star Florida quarterback Will Griffin told On3 he hopes to visit Ohio State, Clemson, LSU, Texas and USC this spring.

Griffin was offered by OSU last June after impressing the Buckeyes at a recruiting camp and returned to Ohio State in November for the Michigan State game.

“They’ve done a phenomenal job,” Griffin said in June about OSU's quarterback development. “You’ve got Justin Fields, Dwayne Haskins and C.J. Stroud. Stroud is just amazing, I personally thought he was the best quarterback in college football (in 2022). They know a thing or two about coaching quarterbacks.”

Griffin is one of three signal callers in the 2026 class OSU has offered, along with Jared Curtis and Brady Smigiel.
