Ryan Shazier wowed NFL teams when he showed up to the combine with an extra 20 pounds of muscle. The former Ohio State great is also killing the workout stage, posting a 42" vertical leap and a 10'10" broad jump. His vertical is the best measured so far at the 2014 combine.
So yes, we now live in an age where a 237 lbs linebacker with a dinged up hamstring is capable of leaping 42". (For comparison's sake, Calvin Johnson's vertical leap is 42.5 inches.)
