2025 cornerback Jordyn Woods flips from Cincinnati and commits to Ohio State.
Country star Brad Paisley will kick off his free "Country Nation College Tour" in Blacksburg, Va. on Sunday, Sept. 6, the night before Ohio State and Virginia Tech kick off their respective seasons.
The show will be held in the lot (Lot 1) of Virginia Tech's basketball arena, Cassell Coliseum, with the opener, Eric Pasley, set to take the stage at 8 p.m.
“Hokie Nation supports us with tremendous passion and dedication,” said Tech Director of Athletics, Whit Babcock. “The opportunity to bring a Grammy award-winning artist like Brad Paisley to the Virginia Tech campus is great way to thank our great fans and kick off an amazing weekend. We appreciate IMG helping make this memorable event possible.”
A native of Ohio River town Glen Dale, West Virginia, Paisley previously served as the guest picker on ESPN's College GameDay at West Virginia University last year.
The show should add spice to what's expected to be an electric weekend. No word on whether his truck will be jacked up with the flat bed flipped back.
