College football was rocked Wednesday morning by the health-centered retirement of Minnesota coach Jerry Kill.
If there's one fellow coach who understands Kill's plight, it's Urban Meyer.
Clay Hall of ABC-6 caught up with Meyer at the campus-area Barnes and Noble, a stop on his Above the Line book tour, to get his thoughts on the retiring Gopher coach.
"Jerry is a very good friend," Meyer said. "We've known each other for 20 years, and we've talked at great length about his health. I love the guy; he's a great guy, and I just wish the best for his family."
Meyer's team will take on Kill's former team next Saturday at 8 p.m. in the Horseshoe.
