Dallas police have suspended the investigation of an alleged assault that reportedly involved former Ohio State and current Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott citing a lack of witnesses and an inability to contact the victim.

Elliott was alleged to be part of an assault late Sunday night at a bar in Dallas. A man was left hospitalized, but there were no arrests and no charges of any kind were filed.
In the days since, no witnesses have come forward to provide additional information, according to the Dallas police. Additionally, Dallas detectives have not been able to contact the victim.
