Yet another highly touted freshman is now officially part of the Ohio State football program, as cornerback Shaun Wade became the latest newcomer to shed his black stripe on Thursday morning.

The 6-foot-1, 177-pound Wade was the USA TODAY National Defensive Player of the Year after he led Jacksonville's Trinity Christian to its fourth-consecutive state title as a senior. He and fellow five-star Jeffrey Okudah, who lost his stripe earlier in the week, are both in the mix for playing time at cornerback and on special teams.
