For the first time ever, the Associated Press has released a preseason All-American team, and two Ohio State football players were honored.
Billy Price was the lone center selected as a first-team All-American, while defensive end Tyquan Lewis earned second-team All-American honors.
Price, who is moving to center from guard for his senior season, earned first-team postseason All-American honors last year from the American Football Coaches Association.
Lewis did not earn any All-American honors last year but was honored as the Big Ten defensive lineman of the year.
Four total Big Ten players earned first-team AP preseason All-American honors. Penn State running back Saquon Barkley and tight end Mike Gesicki and Iowa linebacker Josey Jewell join Price on the first team.
