The anchor of the Buckeye defensive line is now a semifinalist for a national award as Dre'Mont Jones has been named a Chuck Bednarik Award semifinalist.
Through eight games, Jones has 23 total tackles, nine tackles for loss and 5.5 sacks along with a pair of fumble recoveries, a forced fumble and an interception returned for a touchdown against TCU.
No Buckeye has ever won the Bednarik Award, which debuted in 1995.
