Ohio State is 8–1, but it doesn't feel like 8–1, following another head-scratcher of a win, this time coming 36-31 over the Nebraska Cornhuskers.

It's fair to say the team took some strides in fixing what needs to improve, but we're in the thick of November, and the next three games will tell us a lot about what this team really is and what it wants to be.

With that said, enjoy this GIF recap of the Buckeyes' home win over the Cornhuskers. We're not going to lie, this week brought the funny.

Nebraska found the end zone on their first drive, going 75 yards in 12 plays. On the ensuing kickoff, the Cornhuskers tried to spring one on the Buckeyes. As far as onside kicks go, this may be the worst we've ever seen.

Ohio State was unable to take advantage of that – can we call it an onside kick attempt – but on Nebraska's next possession, the Buckeyes forced a three-and-out, leading to linebacker Keandre Jones coming free on the punt attempt to put the Bucks on the board. 7-2, Nebraska.

Capitalizing on the safety, Dwayne Haskins found Johnnie Dixon for a 42-yard catch-and-run to give Ohio State its first lead of the day, 9-7. Dixon finished the day with five receptions for 96 yards.

The Buckeyes went 57 yards in seven plays on their very next possession, capped by this 10-yard touchdown run from J.K. Dobbins to put Ohio State up 16-7 in the first quarter.

We move ahead to the end of the first quarter, where Nebraska quarterback Adrian Martinez provides comic relief with this “pitch” to receiver J.D. Spielman. Ohio State would recover, but hand the ball back to Nebraska on a fumble of their own five plays later.

The Buckeyes would lose a key component of their defense in the second when Jordan Fuller was called for targeting on this hit.

A few plays later, Nebraska's Dicaprio Bootle would avoid a similar fate when officials determined Ohio State wide receiver Johnnie Dixon had made a “football move” prior to the hit.

Trailing 2–6 Nebraska, 21-16 at the half, Ohio State came out on fire, driving deep into Cornhusker territory to start the third quarter. On 2nd-and-13 from the Nebraska 18, Haskins threw one he surely wants back.

Let's go to Ryan Day to see what he thinks of that pick.

BONUS GIF: It's not often that we feature a quarterback slide, but this one from Haskins is high hilarity.

Here's a big Mike Weber run in the fourth quarter, but we're just here to admire Campbell's block.

Two plays later, Campbell was rewarded and scored on a jet sweep to put the Buckeyes up 30-21.

Midway through the fourth quarter, Haskins set another record. Here's his 241st completion of the season, breaking the mark J.T. Barrett set in 2017. We have a feeling it won't be the last record Haskins will gobble up this year.

Finally, the capper: J.K. Dobbins goes 42 yards to make it 36-24, Buckeyes. Dobbins finished the day with 163 yards on 23 carries – and three touchdowns.
