Kendall Sheffield will get his opportunity to demonstrate his speed and skills to NFL scouts before next month's NFL draft.

After suffering a partially torn pectoral muscle in the bench press at the NFL Scouting Combine, preventing him from participating in on-field workouts at both the combine and last week's Ohio State pro day, Sheffield will be healthy enough to go through a pre-draft workout for NFL scouts at Ohio State on April 11 – just two weeks before the first round of the NFL draft – according to a report by NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Sheffield is considered to be one of the fastest players in the 2019 NFL draft – as demonstrated by his record-breaking stint on Ohio State's indoor track team – and now he'll have the chance to further prove it by running the 40-yard dash and going through other athletic tests as well as position drills.

While Sheffield's personal workout likely won't draw nearly the crowd of NFL talent evaluators that attended last week's pro day, any team that is seriously considering drafting him will likely send a representative to Columbus to see how the cornerback has recovered from his injury and just how fast he is.
