There are now four Buckeyes on the watch list for the Maxwell Award, which honors college football's most outstanding player.
Ohio State quarterback C.J. Stroud became the fourth Buckeye on the list when he was added to the watch list on Wednesday.

Stroud joins running back TreVeyon Henderson, who was also a midseason addition to the watch list, and wide receivers Chris Olave and Garrett Wilson as nominees for the Maxwell Award, which – like the Heisman Trophy – honors college football's most outstanding player.
Presumably, Stroud will also be among the semifinalists for the Maxwell Award – which will be announced Monday – as he has also established himself as a frontrunner for the Heisman. Stroud currently has the second-best odds for the Heisman after a three-game stretch in which he has thrown 14 touchdown passes and zero interceptions. He has the nation's second-best passer rating (192.8) and second-most passing yards per attempt (10.6) with 1,965 passing yards and 22 touchdowns with just three interceptions on 125 completions and 185 attempts for the season.
The redshirt freshman quarterback will look to continue making his case for awards as he faces a tougher test this Saturday against one of the best defenses in the country when Ohio State hosts Penn State.
