Tyreke Smith is headed to the 2022 Senior Bowl.
The Ohio State defensive end accepted an invitation to the event, scheduled for Feb. 5, 2022, on Thursday after tallying three sacks in nine games as a senior for the Buckeyes during the regular season. During his four-year career in Columbus, Smith has recorded seven total sacks, 11 tackles for loss and 54 total tackles.

The Cleveland native and former No. 34 overall prospect in the class of 2018 missed three games in 2021 due to injury, but recorded sacks in three straight games upon returning to the fold for Larry Johnson's defensive line.
Smith is the second Buckeye to accept an invite to the Senior Bowl so far, with tight end Jeremy Ruckert having done so just hours before Ohio State's final regular season game against Michigan on Nov. 27.
