Buckeye nation awoke to tragic news on Saturday morning as news broke that legendary Ohio State quarterback Dwayne Haskins had passed away at just 24 years old.
Haskins impacted the lives of countless people, and that was clear from the overwhelming response from his former teammates, coaches, and Buckeye Nation as a whole as they mourned the loss of a fellow Buckeye.

Haskins' former Ohio State coaches were also pained by the news.
The loss of Dwayne is beyond tragic and extremely difficult to process. For those who knew him closely, he was much more than a great football player. He had a giant heart, old soul and an infectious smile. The Ohio State community and our entire football program are heartbroken.

Many took exception to the crassness of Schefter's original Tweet, which included the phrase "a standout at Ohio State before struggling to catch on with Washington and Pittsburgh in the NFL."
before struggling to catch on
— Brian Hartline (@brianhartline) April 9, 2022
You just cant help to be a sometimes huh A son, teammate and significant other was lost and thats what you have to say https://t.co/htTgztPfqB
