Miles Walker is officially a Buckeye.
On Wednesday, the 6-foot-5, 295-pound offensive lineman became the 18th Ohio State freshman to shed his black stripe in 2023. Walker is the first Buckeye to add scarlet to his helmet since cornerback Calvin Simpson-Hunt on Nov. 8.

Walker has not yet made his Ohio State debut. Josh Simmons, Donovan Jackson, Carson Hinzman, Matt Jones and Josh Fryar have earned the lion's share of reps on the Buckeyes' offensive line this season. Other players to receive reps at the five spots have been Luke Montgomery, Enokk Vimahi, Tegra Tshabola, Zen Michalski, Victor Cutler Jr., Jakob James and George Fitzpatrick.
As a recruit, Walker was rated a three-star in the 247Sports composite. He was ranked as the No. 501 overall prospect, No. 33 offensive tackle and No. 4 player from the state of Connecticut. Walker's high school, Brunswick, won the Mike Silipo NEPSAC Class A Bowl and finished the season 9-1 in 2022.
