Devin Brown or Santa Claus?
In a post-practice speech shared on the Ohio State football X account on Monday, Brown revealed to his teammates that he had gifted them with free JBL speakers to celebrate Christmas at the Buckeyes’ Cotton Bowl practices.

Brown’s gesture comes weeks after he was named QB1 for the Cotton Bowl following Kyle McCord’s departure for Syracuse. As the Buckeyes have prepared for their top-10 showdown with Missouri, Ohio State head coach Ryan Day has been impressed with Brown’s performance on the field, as well as his leadership off of it.
“You notice his command of the huddle, his command of the offense. He’s done a nice job of that,” Day said when the Buckeyes arrived in Dallas. “He has a charisma about him that I think the guys appreciate. He has a chance to extend plays with his feet. He has a strong arm. He’s very intelligent. He has a lot of skills and a lot of traits that you look for in a quarterback. Now, he has to go play the game.”

In his most recent media appearance on Dec. 11, Brown said he looks forward to leading the Buckeyes against the Tigers in the New Year’s Six bowl on Friday.
“I’m pumped. I mean, I can’t believe my first start’s going to be in the Cotton Bowl,” Brown said. “It’s a big stage against a really good team. It’s a top-10 matchup. And I’m excited to go out there and show what I can do.”
