Ohio State completed the dream on Monday.
The Buckeyes won their first national championship since 2014 with a 34-23 victory over Notre Dame, clinching the contest with a field goal from Jayden Fielding with less than 30 seconds remaining.
It was Ryan Day's first national title in his Ohio State tenure and the first time any college football team has beaten five top-five teams in a single season.
The Buckeyes will host a celebration at Ohio Stadium at noon on Sunday.
