Quinshon Judkins has completed his initiation into Ohio State’s running backs room.
The new Buckeye running back had his black stripe removed on Tuesday, joining fellow transfer Caleb Downs as Buckeyes who lost their black stripes after Ohio State’s sixth practice of the spring.

Judkins, like Downs, transferred to Ohio State in January after earning All-SEC honors last year. In Judkins’ case, he’s already earned All-SEC honors twice, rushing for 1,565 yards and 16 touchdowns as a true freshman at Ole Miss and following that up with 1,158 yards and 15 touchdowns in his second season as a Rebel.
Now entering his third year of college football, Judkins is set to pair with TreVeyon Henderson to form the nation’s best running back tandem in 2024.
Judkins and Downs are the second and third midyear enrollees to have their black stripes removed this spring, joining true freshman Jeremiah Smith, who lost his stripe after just four practices.
