Jeremiah Smith is now officially in the running for college football's hallmark award for receivers.
On Wednesday, the Tallahassee Quarterback Club Foundation announced its third in-season addition to the 2024 Biletnikoff Award watch list, placing Denzel Boston (Washington), Ja'Corey Brooks (Louisville), Omari Kelly (Middle Tennesee) and Smith among a class of almost 60 wide receivers, running backs and tight ends up for the honor.

Smith joins teammate Emeka Egbuka as a nominee for the Biletnikoff Award. This season, Smith leads the Buckeyes' wide receiver room with 32 catches for 553 yards and seven touchdowns. He also reached the end zone on a 19-yard rush in Ohio State's Week 5 win over Michigan State. Egbuka, a preseason nominee for the Biletnikoff, has 40 catches for 526 yards and six scores.
Egbuka and Smith look to follow in the footsteps of Marvin Harrison Jr. by becoming the second straight winner of the Biletnikoff Award from Ohio State. Harrison received the honor last season after collecting 67 receptions for 1,211 yards and 14 scores. Terry Glenn is Ohio State’s only other Biletnikoff winner, earning the award in 1995 after collecting 64 receptions for 1,411 yards and 17 touchdowns.
The Tallahassee Quarterback Club Foundation will announce the semifinalists for the 2024 Biletnikoff Award on Nov. 18. The foundation will then announce the finalists on Nov. 26 and determine a winner on Dec. 12.
