There's a new banner in the Woody Hayes Athletic Center.

With Ohio State starting spring football on Monday, Eleven Warriors visited the Buckeyes' practice facility to observe the first hour of practice No. 1. As the staff walked the sideline, we captured a photo of Ohio State's newest banner, which celebrates its 2024 national championship.

Ohio State's 2024 national championship was the program's ninth all-time, following 1942, 1954, 1957, 1961, 1968, 1970, 2002 and 2014. The Buckeyes won the inaugural 12-team College Football Playoff, defeating Tennessee, Oregon, Texas and Notre Dame en route to the title.

Ohio State is tied with USC for the sixth most national championships in college football history. Yale claims the most with 18, followed by Alabama (16), Princeton (15), Notre Dame (13) and Michigan (10). Meanwhile, Harvard (eight), Oklahoma (seven) and Minnesota (six) rank behind the Buckeyes and Trojans to round out the top 10.
