Ohio State made room for another memento inside its practice facility.
In addition to a new championship banner on the indoor practice field, Ohio State has placed its 2024 College Football Playoff national championship trophy inside the Woody Hayes Athletic Center. The Buckeyes displayed the prize next to their previous national title trophies, Heisman trophies and other relics from the program's 137-year history.

Inscribed on the 2024 national championship trophy are the final scores from all four of Ohio State's College Football Playoff matchups: A 42-17 win over Tennessee in Columbus, a 41-21 win over Oregon in Pasadena, a 28-14 win over Texas in Arlington and a 34-23 win over Notre Dame in Atlanta.
The Buckeyes' 2024 national championship was the program's ninth all-time, following 1942, 1954, 1957, 1961, 1968, 1970, 2002 and 2014.
Ohio State is tied with USC for the sixth-most national championships in college football history. Yale claims the most, with 18, followed by Alabama (16), Princeton (15), Notre Dame (13) and Michigan (10). Meanwhile, Harvard (eight), Oklahoma (seven) and Minnesota (six) rank behind the Buckeyes and Trojans to round out the top 10.
