After a controversial 24-hour runoff, sprinter Jesse Owens has won the 11W Heart of It All Classic and will be accorded the title of Greatest Ohioan.
When all precincts first reported, the Wright brothers held a one-vote lead, 381-380. The 0.13% margin of victory triggered a runoff, sparking protests from Wright supporters, which only grew louder as Owens pulled ahead for an eventual 548-537 victory.
Congratulations, Jesse Owens. Your list of accomplishments now include four gold medals, eight NCAA championships, and the internet's highest honor.
