We got our first look at Ohio State's quarterbacks on Saturday afternoon, and I have to admit, I was largely unimpressed because none of them did this:
What?!? How?!? Look at this TD Pass from @NovaFootball as they cut it to a one-score game with 3 minutes remaining. pic.twitter.com/Jpc3aIkGRW

The first player to throw a touchdown pass from behind their back while falling to the ground can have the job. Those are the new rules.
Word of the Day: Officious.
THEY'RE REALLY DOING IT! Fact is, I have a healthy bit of skepticism whenever I hear about any potential schematic changes or special packages during the offseason because a solid 80 percent of the time the talk ends up being quite overblown and nothing really changes.
But folks, I'm now officially ready to believe that the 4-2-5 is going to be very much a thing.
Percentages, defense: 4-2-5 (91.7%); 4-3 (0.92%); 4-1-6 (7.34%). Offense: 0 (12.8%); 12 (12.8%); 10 (17.4%); 11 (56.9%)

And we even had players assigned the "BLT" position on the roster and they actually played in the game!
I'm ready. Give it to me.
EMERGENCY LINEBACKER. I really don't think we're talking enough about the fact that long snapper Roen McCullough just switched to linebacker for an entire game and looked... good?

I'm not saying he's going to win the Butkus or anything (I'm also not not saying that, for the record), but when I first heard he was going to be lining up at linebacker during the game, I thought he was basically just going to occupy space, but he's out there using his instincts and swarming to the ball like it's his natural position!
All I'm saying is that if there are garbage time minutes to spare this season and Ryan Day doesn't let our long snapper lay the wood on some overmatched team, I'm really not sure he's the man for the job.
THAT LOOKED FAMILIAR. If that touchdown pass from C.J. Stroud to Chris Olave looked like something you've seen about a hundred times before, that's probably because you have.

I'm sure Ohio State's offense would function totally fine under any quarterback on the roster (Jagger LaRoe and J.P. Andrade included, for the record), but it was extremely fun watching Stroud run the offense looking like Justin Fields 2.0 at times.
JIM TRESSEL'S DREAM. I think it's safe to say that Jim Tressel has a new favorite football team.

Your move, Urban Meyer. Drue Chrisman is available.
SONG OF THE DAY. "Ace of Spades" by Motörhead.
NOT STICKING TO SPORTS. A producer is using bird calls to make beats... Drones are spying on the U.S. and the Pentagon acts like they are UFOs... Why some places still won't let you pump your own gas... A man who tried to fight a grizzly bear in Banff National Park is fined $4,000... China has trademarked the entire South China Sea...
