When the Buckeyes take the field for the first time this fall, it'll be on fresh turf inspired by fan designs.
Here's a peek at what they're working with:

The argyle with the "O-H-I-O" in the diamonds is too perfect. I would give up Arby's for a month to see it come to life.
Word of the Day: Confound.
TROUBLE UP NORTH. Five weeks ago, Michigan was in the College Football Playoff with legitimate postseason hopes of winning a national title for the first time in over two decades.
To say it's been all downhill from there would be a colossal understatement.
Since that playoff appearance, Jim Harbaugh went on a month-long, nationwide tour, soliciting his services to any NFL team that would listen. When nobody would hire him, he returned to Michigan and insists he won't try to jump to the NFL again.
Meanwhile, Michigan lost both of its coordinators (which, let's be real, were the reason the team was magically good this season – not he Khaki'd King) and one of them left the team with this glorious text message:
“Fellas, it’s with a broken heart i write this," the text read. "I am resigning my position here at Michigan to go to another university. I have given everything i have to you guys and michigan. I sacrificed so much personally to stand in the fight with each of you which i would never take back. Unfortunately the past few weeks has told a different story to me about the very little appreciation i have here from administration. In life i would never advise anyone to be where they are not wanted and i owe that to my family and my integrity to hold myself to this standard! I Love each and every one of you to the bottom of my heart. Our memories will never be forgotten but our struggles is what makes us who we are today it’s what grew this love and will forever hold it together! i am the biggest fan of you, and biggest friend of you. Most importantly I am one phone call always if you need anything ever. Love you guys!"
And it probably isn't going to stop there!
Just got a text from someone I trust: Josh Gattis isnt the only high profile assistant that is pissed off with Harbaugh over the last month and looking to get out.

Harbaugh is basically Lenny from "Of Mice and Men." Had something beautiful in his hands and absolulely squashed it
To be 100 percent clear, I never expected Michigan or Harbaugh to sustain anywhere close to the kind of success they saw this season. But even I didn't expect it to crash and burn this quickly. It's honestly impressive.
LAPPING THE FIELD. If you'd like to know why Ryan Day was so damn aggressive about cleaning out the defensive staff, it's because the Ohio State offense is unrealistically good right now, and any semblance of a defense would have the Buckeyes waltzing to a national title.
Behold:
The gap between #1 Ohio State and #2 UGA is the same as the gap from #2 to #29 https://t.co/vkzVTdYS8t

The bad news is, Ohio State wasted that offense. But the good news is, the Heisman finalist quarterback and both the record-breaking receiver and running back are both returning next season along with a healthy chunk of the offensive line (with a new coach there, too).
I've been saying this for months, but at this point, all Ohio State needs to win a national title is an above-average defense. I don't think it's unreasonable to believe that Jim Knowles can do that, at the very least.
HELL OF A WEEKEND. Ohio State's men's tennis team entered the weekend as the No. 5 team in the country. There's a strong chance they'll be No. 1 after what they did this weekend.
The Buckeyes faced two top-6 teams this weekend – No. 1 Tennessee on Friday and No. 6 Virginia on Sunday – and they smacked them both, notching two 4-0 sweeps.

If y'all don't know about Ohio State's men's tennis program, it's been absurdly dominant under the legendary Ty Tucker, but this team might just be one of his best ever. The Buckeyes have four top-100 singles players in the preseason rankings (and those rankings are only going to improve when Wednesday's new rankings come out) and the top two doubles teams in the country.
So far, they're 7-0 and already have wins over four ranked teams. They've got No. 11 Kentucky and No. 10 Wake Forest coming to Columbus next week.
HOCKEY SCHOOL, TOO? The men's tennis team ain't the only Buckeye squad that's on an absolute tear right now. The Ohio State men's hockey team is lossless in 14 of their last 15 games and is currently sitting atop the Big Ten.
The No. 9/8 Buckeyes, 12-1-2 in their last 15 games and in first place in the B1G, close out their regular season home slate vs. Minnesota next weekend. #GoBucks pic.twitter.com/5tlYJYpc3f

But the real work starts this weekend with No. 8 Minnesota coming to town before the Buckeyes close the season in Ann Arbor against No. 3 Michigan.
If they're going to be Big Ten champs, they're gonna earn it.
SONG OF THE DAY. "Two of Us" by Louis Tomlinson.
NOT STICKING TO SPORTS. America's hidden world of handmade pornography... Love Cloud, an airplane charter business, offers private flights that help couples join the mile high club... Armed raids, crooked cops, and the wild battle over a breathtaking American hotel in Tulum... They were "calling to help," then they stole thousands... One Las Vegas strip club is now accepting cryptocurrency for lap dances... Inside Italy’s most brutal mafia clan who execute enemies with point-blank shotgun blasts to the face...
