The Big Ten Championship Game is staying in Indianapolis for at least five more years.
Big Ten commissioner Tony Petitti kicked off Big Ten Media Days on Tuesday by announcing that the Big Ten Championship Game will remain at Lucas Oil Stadium through 2028 as the Big Ten has finalized a contract with the home of the Indianapolis Colts to host the game for another four years after this season.

Every Big Ten Championship Game has been held at Lucas Oil Stadium since the conference first held a conference championship game in 2011. As the Big Ten’s contract to host the game in Indianapolis was set to expire after this year, however, there had been speculation that the Big Ten Championship Game could move to other venues, especially with the addition of four West Coast teams to the conference.
Petitti said during his press conference Tuesday that he expects the Big Ten Championship Game to be held at different locations around the country in the future, but felt that keeping the game in Indianapolis through 2028 was “the right thing to do.”
