One of the best Dubcast guests we've ever had was Richard Lewis, and while he was great for a whole host of reasons, I personally loved it for the story that he shared about him dragging Larry David to the 1997 Rose Bowl between Ohio State and Arizona State and Larry David forcing him to leave after like a quarter and a half because he realized he didn't like football.
That's a funny-ass story in part because it's exactly what I imagine going to any kind of event with Larry David would be like (equal parts funny and mind-bendingly frustrating), but also because as a 12 year old watching the game on my parents' TV, it was the first time that I knew for certain that I loved Ohio State football.
There's a lot of storylines that guest host Kevin and I hash out today in the Dubcast surrounding the Rose Bowl, and the people who say that any bowl game is ultimately just an exhibition that doesn't mean a ton are kind of right, but ultimately this being Urban's final game as the head coach will dominate discussion.
Which is why it's important that we brought on our own Dan Hope to give us the view on the ground! He gives us his take on the events of the past week, and we also delve into some excellent Ask Us Anything questions (which you can do via e-mail or Twitter).
Oh, and don't forget to rate and subscribe on iTunes and/or Google podcasts!
0:00 It's almost here! One might think that Kevin and I are getting a little nervous but... nah!
12:18 Ask Us Anything wants to know if we'd be up for a Chris Ash/Greg Schiano trade. Maybe!
24:47 Dan Hope is having a ball in Cali, and also enjoyed a lot of steak. MUST BE NICE.
And that'll do it for this week! Thanks to Travis for our logo, thanks to you for listening and checking out our Dry Goods store, and we'll see you later next week as we break down the Rose Bowl and all the other fun times in college football and basketball.
