It's hard to not look ahead at this point in the season, and this was on the Dubcast we're generally pretty happy with Ohio State's win against Iowa; Emeka Egbuka was money in the red zone, Jeremiah Smith did Jeremiah Smith things, and the running game looked incredibly effective against the toughest defensive test the Buckeyes have had so far in 2024.
But this is also Oregon week, so there are nits to pick! I wasn't particularly concerned about not scoring a ton of points against Iowa in the first half, but it's hard not to think about what a similar performance would mean against the Ducks. Second half adjustments are great, but it's also better if they aren't necessary.
So basically: we've got Ducks for brains this week! Plus, Ask Us Anything and a quick recap of an utterly chaotic weekend of college football.
- Ohio State's defense continues to be dominant, especially with the emergence of a few notable stars.
- Bad Will showed up for just a second, but Good Will was pretty freaking good. Can Ohio State afford to see the former against Oregon?
- Ohio State's receiving corps continues to be otherworldly, but we're falling in love with the running game.
- Ask Us Anything, which you can do by sending us questions to dubcast@elevenwarriors.com, wants to know how much of the playbook Chip Kelly has revealed. Us too!
- An absolutely crazy weekend of college football shows that Alabama has problems and everybody can get got.
- Michigan football is an absolute mess right now, and a huge reason why is their defense, believe it or not.
- Women's hockey continues to rebound after a slow start to the season.
- Shout out to Middletown native Kayla Harrison for getting it done in the octagon.
