Incoming recruit Jon Diebler scored 44 points last night to pass Jay Burson as the all-time scoring leader in Ohio high school basketball history. The 6'7" guard shot 13-27 from the floor and 15-18 from the stripe as Burson watched his record go up in flames. See today' Dispatch for more details. From what I've seen of Diebler, it looks like he will be a three point specialist off the bench in his first year at OSU considering he still needs to put some meat on his slender frame and OSU's depth on the perimeter. This, of course, assumes Daequan Cook comes back for his sophomore season.

In other recruit news, fellow incoming freshman Kosta Koufos had 21 points, 13 rebounds and 6 blocks in a 69-41 win. The Canton Repository reports that Greek National Team coach Panagiotis Giannakis was in attendance and hopes Koufos will play for Greece in the Olympics.
