We're approaching the lean stretch of the Buckeye calendar, especially so this season with an NIT-bound basketball team and a relatively small NFL draft class on the horizon. To try to keep it interesting around here, we're going to fire up the local wayback machine and highlight some older posts from the days when we had 6 readers. You know, so the 13 of you new guys can enjoy them.
On February 20, 2007, we had a good time at the expense of the eager folks at the Wisconsin team shop that were selling AP Poll #1 t-shirts after the Badgers had moved into the top spot for the first time in school history. What's so funny about that, you ask? Well, the Badgers were upset by unranked Michigan State the very next day, rendering the shirts immediately worthless.
Bucky would go on to lose its next game, to the Buckeyes, before getting blown out by Ohio State in the conference tourney championship game and finally limping out of the NCAA tournament via a 2nd round loss to UNLV.
The shirt is still for sale if anyone is interested.
