Lighty suffered the injury - a break of the fifth metatarsal - during spring workouts Tuesday and will have surgery to repair the fracture Friday at the Ohio State Medical Center by Dr. Grant Jones. This is the same injury the Cleveland, Ohio, native experienced in December of 2008 that forced him to miss the remainder of the season and receive a medical redshirt for 2008-09. Typical recovery from this procedure will take up to 12 weeks.The 12 week prognosis is encouraging -- he'll be back in the gym by mid-August. But, damn, guy can't catch a break.
