It's becoming clear with each passing day that it's really a foolish act to pick against Michigan State's Tom Izzo in March.
Izzo guided the Spartans to their seventh Final Four in his 20-year tenure Sunday, when they took down Rick Pitino's Louisville Cardinals, 76-70, at the Carrier Dome.

While it can seem a little ridiculous to think Izzo and the gang didn't have it in them to get to Indianapolis, maybe this will get your attention:
Izzo has coached Sparty for 20 years. Only one of his recruiting classes hasn't been to a Final Four. That seems good.

The Spartans are set to join the Badgers — the Big Ten regular season and Tournament Champion — next weekend in Indy. Bo Ryan's crew, led by Frank Kaminsky and Sam Dekker, beat Arizona Saturday, 85-78.
Wisconsin's been the best team in the Big Ten all year, but never, ever, count out Tournament Tom.

Add that to the fact that this was supposed to be a down year for basketball in the conference as well as Ohio State holding court atop the college football world after winning the first ever national championship in the playoff era in January, and Big Ten Commissioner Jim Delany's all like:
