The Nerds have risen.
Northwestern completed a layup following a full-court pass in the final 1.7 seconds of its game against Michigan Wednesday night to steal one at home, 67-65.
Following a Zak Irvin missed three-pointer, the Wildcats got the ball back with just over a second remaining to play. Nathan Taphorn threw a full-court heave to Derek Pardon and the center did the rest, putting the Wolverines down for the night.
With the win, the Wildcats improved to 21–9 on the season.
