The NCAA tournament is returning to Columbus.
It was announced Tuesday the city would be one of eight cities to host first and second round games for the 2019 NCAA tournament.
The other seven cities that will host first and second round games include:
- Columbia, South Carolina
- Hartford, Connecticut
- Des Moines, Iowa
- Tulsa, Oklahoma
- Jacksonville, Florida
- Salt Lake City, Utah
- Seattle, Washington
The four 2019 regional sites include Kansas City, Louisville, Anaheim and Washington, D.C. The 2019 Final Four is scheduled to be in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
The last time Columbus hosted the NCAA tournament was 2015.
Games will be played at Nationwide Arena. Because Ohio State is the host school, the Buckeyes cannot play at this location should they make the 2019 NCAA tournament.
