We now know the when and the where of March Madness.
The NCAA released all dates and venues for the 2021 NCAA tournament – which is set to entirely be hosted in the state of Indiana – on Tuesday afternoon. It'll begin on March 18 with the First Four and culminate with the national championship game on April 5.
Here's how it will be set up:
First Four: Four games will be played on March 18 (Thursday). Two matchups will happen at Mackey Arena in West Lafayette and the other two will tip off at Assembly Hall in Bloomington.
First round: All games will take place on March 19 (Friday) and 20 (Saturday), and they'll be hosted by Mackey Arena, Assembly Hall, Bankers Life Fieldhouse, Hinkle Fieldhouse, Indiana Farmers Coliseum and Lucas Oil Stadium.
Second round: These games will also happen at Mackey Arena, Assembly Hall, Bankers Life Fieldhouse, Hinkle Fieldhouse, Indiana Farmers Coliseum and Lucas Oil Stadium, and they'll be played on March 21 (Sunday) and 22 (Monday).
Sweet 16: Only two venues – Bankers Life Fieldhouse and Hinkle Fieldhouse – will host these games, which are set to be held on March 27 (Saturday) and 28 (Sunday). They'll be played at separate times without overlapping.
Elite Eight: These four games will be played in primetime slots on March 29 (Monday) and 30 (Tuesday) at Lucas Oil Stadium.
Final Four: These will also tip off at Lucas Oil Stadium, and they're slated for April 3 (Saturday).
National championship: The final game will be held at Lucas Oil Stadium on April 5 (Monday).
Selection Sunday will be held on March 14, and the tournament will tip off four days later.
