The rollercoaster recruitment of 2016 safety Andrew Pryts looks to have finally come to a close. The Hickory (Hermitage, PA) standout has committed to Penn State, his father's alma mater.

The legacy was long thought to be a Penn State lean, but things began to swing toward Ohio State after multiple visits in April and May. Notre Dame offered in May and a June visit to South Bend put the Irish right in the thick of things. When talk of a Friday Night Lights visit began to surface, many thought the 6-foot-1, 200 pound safety could end his recruitment in Columbus. However, that visit didn't happen, as Pryts and family elected instead to visit the Monday before the event. Earlier this month, Pryts took his final visit – to Happy Valley – with family in tow. This trip to Penn State swung the momentum back in the Nits' favor and ultimately helped to seal the deal.
With Pryts off the board, Ohio State will continue to focus on defensive backs Damar Hamlin, Jordan Fuller, and Nigel Warrior.
