Well, this is something you never wanted to see.
Notre Dame QB/Ohioan Malik Zaire, with his team up 26-14 on Virginia, suffered an apparent ankle injury near the end of the third quarter:
Zaire was seen on the sideline in severe pain and very frustrated.
Virginia converted on a stunned Notre Dame defense the next possession. As it stands, it's 26-21, Irish.
