Michael Joseph "Spike" Albrecht is going to Purdue after all.
After a dust-up between Papa Albrecht and Michigan coach John Beilein over restrictions placed on Spike's graduate transfer ended with Beilein folding like man with a bad poker hand, the point guard announced his intention to finish his career at Purdue:
Excited to announce that I'll be playing my 5th year for Purdue University!! #BoilerUp

Albrecht graduated from Michigan this past weekend. He averaged 1.9 points and 1.4 assists in 11 games with the Wolverines in 2015 before complications from offseason hip surgery (the second of his career) sidelined him for the rest of the season.
He will be eligible to play immediately for the Boilermakers.
