One of the themes that we've talked a lot about in the Dubcast is that we're currently living through an era of ridiculous, essentially unprecedented Ohio State football success.

Because of that success, it's easy to forget and dismiss that it hasn't always been strawberries, cream, and annual dumpings of the Michigan Wolverines. Actually, let me backtrack a little bit: it's easy for people under the age of 25 to do that. And before you turn up your nose at that concept, remember that virtually every single student in Ohio Stadium this Saturday will have no real memory of Michigan winning back to back games in The Game, and incoming freshman might, might, be aware of two losses to That School Up North in their lifetimes.

So that's why Earle Bruce is important. He represents a lifeline to an Ohio State of the past that was difficult, not always successful, but endearing and inspiring as hell. As Beau points out, this man bleeds Scarlet and Gray more than any man alive, and I'm excited to see him finally get the honor he deserves.

Beau and I also get into the decommitment of Danny Clark, The Firing of Les Miles by the Coward Joe Alleva, kick the can around Rutgers for a hot minute, and answer your questions in Ask Us Anything (which, as always, you can do via e-mail and Twitter). Also, someone confused William Tecumseh Sherman with Abraham Lincoln. Good Lord.

0:00- Football is back after a brief hiatus, so Beau and I talk about Rutgers and the situation with Danny Clark.

22:44- Earle Bruce was, is, and will always be the embodiment of Ohio State. We're extremely happy for the dude, and we've got some stories.

38:57- Ask Us Anything! NO YOU SHOULDN'T MICROWAVE YOUR BACON.

49:01- Beau Bishop's War on Turkeys continues, this time with a new recruit.

And that does it for this week, see you guys next week after we turn Rutgers into a fine pulp.
